HISTORYThe American Federeation National Guard, like the American Federation Army, was formed from the Federate Army during the Federation War. When the militias who formed this force fought the British and captured terriroty, the need for a police force in American territory was recognized as all of the capable men were fighting on the frontlines. With no one left to keep the peace in the rear, the Federate generals created a new police regiment from the Federate Army to defend and protect the citizens in Federation territory. When the Federation declared sovereignty, the President seperated this police force from the military, creating the American Federation National Police (AFNP). When WWI broke out, the President recognized that the military did not have the manpower to win the war, so, recognizing that the AFNP was the largest organazation of physically fit men already trained in the use of firearms he ordered the conscription of a large portion of the National Police into the military. From this, the President reorganized the AFNP into the F.A. National Guard and made them the official Armed Forces reserve.
